Bainridge, the treacherous mountain range to the west of Tierloch is scarcely traveled. It runs the longitudinal diameter of Angard, fortifying lorelei territories. Legends are prevalent of the golems, a race of giant stonefolk who are said to populate the mountains.
Characterized by its jutting gray peaks and lack of wildlife, Bainridge, also called The Seam of the World, is an expansive range of mountains and active volcanoes. The air is always thick with volcanic “snow,” and the ash on the ground is knee-deep in places.
The twin rivers Haerlyn and Noirlyn pass through these mountains, gray with sediment and soot. These connect Tierloch with Anloch. Very little plant life (and even less animal life) takes root in the area; there is little more to be seen than the occassional dry shrub, high on a mountain ridge. It does not rain in Bainridge. The mountains are too tall for clouds to pass over, so all precipitation ends up back in the ocean.
